Meu Primeiro Batismo Na Minha Missão

Whats up everyone. This week was defintely filled with miracles and was awesome. This week was pretty normal, but had a ton of highlights.  We have one more week until transfers and I'm super bummed I'm about to lose my comp. This dude is a G. I've talked to some of his past comps that are going home soon and they said he was the best comp they had. So I might be in for it in a week haha. This week  have definitely seen the miracles that god has promised through perseverance and effort. This week has had no shortages of the spirit and blessings from the lord. I was able to teach an hour long english class which was awesome and I definitely received help from the spirit. While I am definitely not fluent yet, with the gift of tounges I can still accomplish the work of the lord. We had are first baptism this week in CASA AMARELLA which was awesome. The newest member of the church, Guilherme, has had a walked a long road to the church. My comp started teaching him 4 transfers a...

Finally Baptisms

Another week has came and gone on the mish and stuff is finally starting to happen. Last Pday we played baseball with the entire zone. Me and the lz on the other team started making bets as to who would win. Long story short I slid into home running full sprint for the game winning point. Looking back on it, it probally wasn't worth peeling half the skin off my leg, but at least I didn't lose haha. That was definitely the worst part of this week was trying to keep road rash clean and dry in the 90 degree 80% humidity weather but we made it. This week was a grind. My area CASA AMARELLA has been struggling with finding good people who are likely to progress to baptism. Its usually easy to teach lessons and get peoples numbers for a follow up appointment, but its super hard to tell if theyre interested or just not wanting to turn you down. Anyway my comp and I found 32 people this week and marked 10 people for baptism in the next three weeks. Sunday we had two baptisms of Diogo an...

ELDER FOSTAAAHH

Hello family and friends. I hope your last week went as well as mine. This week was definitely the best in the mission. This week we found two teenagers that we played soccer with for like 45 minutes anf after we shared a message with them. They seemed very interested in the church and English class that we have there which was awesome. I was finally able to teach something I know to them, english. I had a division this week with Elder Tumbaco which was way fun but a little difficult. He speaks portuguese, but what he doesnt know in Portuguese he says in Spanish. Because I dont know much portuguese and even less spanish it was a little difficult to communicate that day, but it was a lot better than I expected. I had another division with Elder Guerra which was awesome. We got to go to the temple with Diogo and Vallenson which was super awesome. The say "ELDER FOSTAAAHH" like ten times everytime they talk to me which is pretty funny. They both asked me to confirm them next wee...

Division Week

Image
Sorry the email was short last week. Our pday changed from 12-10 to 8-6, which I am definitely not a big fan of. The zls are super strict this transfer so last week I literally hit send at 6 o'clock on the dot. This week was very hectic, but because of that we got a lot of stuff done. We started the week trying to find more people. On Thursday I had a division with one of the lz's and we freakin worked. We left the house from lunch at 1130 and didnt stop moving until like 10 that night. We taught all of our normal people, found 26 new people, and visited like 4 members in one day. All without taking a single water break. Its safe to say I was dead after that day. And to finish it off we slept 6 Elders in our two bedroom apartment with 3 matresses. The rest of the week went like normal. I was able to go on another division with the new Elder in our District. Together we have a combined total of less than 7 months in the mission, which was crazy. That day was super awesome though...
