Meu Primeiro Batismo Na Minha Missão
Whats up everyone. This week was defintely filled with miracles and was awesome.
This week was pretty normal, but had a ton of highlights.
We have one more week until transfers and I'm super bummed I'm about to lose my comp. This dude is a G. I've talked to some of his past comps that are going home soon and they said he was the best comp they had. So I might be in for it in a week haha.
This week have definitely seen the miracles that god has promised through perseverance and effort.
This week has had no shortages of the spirit and blessings from the lord. I was able to teach an hour long english class which was awesome and I definitely received help from the spirit. While I am definitely not fluent yet, with the gift of tounges I can still accomplish the work of the lord.
We had are first baptism this week in CASA AMARELLA which was awesome. The newest member of the church, Guilherme, has had a walked a long road to the church. My comp started teaching him 4 transfers ago and we finally got him dunked. It was awesome to see the difference in him after his baptism. Before the baptism he was super mad because his mom wasnt going to come because she was literally cracked out of her mind. He continued to stay mad until after the baptism. After he was the happiest I have seen him be in the last 3 months. My comp and I were also really happy for him.
One spirtual thought I have been thinking about this week is self perseverance and discipline. We can't always change are circumstances or living conditions, but we can change our attitudes towards things. Believe me, sometimes I would definitely rather been in my air condtioned house with a car and all the other things that I took for granted, but the truth is nothing has brought the level of happiness in my life as the feeling of the spirit. While living here is definitely way different, I would so much rather feel the spirit while serving the lord than be home with worldy comforts. The only true with true meaning is through the gospel and no matter what trial or difficulty we face, if we put are heads down, work, follow the example of the savior we will feel his love and saving grace.
One more thing that we did was ate outback steakhouse today and I'm pretty sure that is what the celestial kingdom tastes like. I ate at least 3 pounds of meat and drank two liters of coke to my self. Definitely was the best food I had here so far.
Shoot me an email and I'll get back to you next pday
Até próxima semana Vlw
