Madalena

Whats up everybody. This week was super cool and I had a lot of fun. I was transferred to Area Madalena which was super cool. Its is basically in the center of the city and has a ton of different people. Its really awesome because it has a ton of favelas to teach the poorer people, but also has a ton of skyscrapers and stores which is good to have stuff to do on pday. Also a plus is I have a McDonald's in my area for the days I dont have meber meals.

I also got a new comp this week, Elder Ynga. He was my district leader 2 transfers ago so I already knew him pretty well coming here. He is from Peru and is super dope. This week we were able to work really hard and actually see a decent amount of success which was really rewarding.

This week I was able to get to know the members of the ward and we were able to set some plans up to help baptize people and to make some activities. One of the best parts about the ward here is that basically the whole leadership is new. Which means everyone is excited to get to work and get stuff done. We are setting up a soccer tournament this Friday night which is going to be lit. We are also a little behind on the ward goals for this time of thr year so we've got some work to do.

Overall the new area and comp have been awesome and I super hyped about being here. Its gonna be awesome to meet a ton of new people and learn to work more with the ward leaders this transfer.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone. It still doesnt feel like its Christmas Eve today, but whether I'm ready for it or not Christmas is coming and going. This week for me has been super busy and I have learned a lot. I went on three different divisions this week and every time I went to a different area, so I only worked in my area for about a day and a half. My first division was on Tuesday with Elder Couch. He is american and just got here 2 weeks ago, so he's still working on the portuguese. His area is more country than mine so it was super awesome. This was an awesome opportunity to put my portuguese to the test because my comp for the day didnt know anything. It was super awesome to see the progress I have made in the language and to communicate pretty much normally with everyone we taught. The next division was with our LZs. Melhor Pday Da Missão

This week was super awesome and we ended with the best pday of the mission so far. This week we have been preparing a family to get baptized and helping them to stop drinking coffee. As we have continued to go to their house, they have been more willing to participate in the lesson. The first week we were there the kids didn't participate much and their parents made them come listen, but after a week or two they are always the first ones sat down ready to hear the lessons. Its been super cool to see there progress and I hope we can help them be baptized this week. I went on a division this week to the lzs area again. I was able to talk to some of the people that I taught there last time which was awesome. The goal of the division was to mark as many people as possible for baptism. So the entire day the only lesson we taught was baptism, which worked. We were able to put six people on a dates for baptisms and one of them even got baptized the next day. Mais Uma Semana Na Missão

Whats up everyone. This week was very repetitive, but I also promised my mom that I would write another email again. This week we worked super hard and went on a division with the lz's. We had a lot of cool experiences and put some people on dates for baptisms this sunday. We have set huge goals to end off this transfer. Its crazy a transfer has already come and gone.
