Division Week
Sorry the email was short last week. Our pday changed from 12-10 to 8-6, which I am definitely not a big fan of. The zls are super strict this transfer so last week I literally hit send at 6 o'clock on the dot.
This week was very hectic, but because of that we got a lot of stuff done. We started the week trying to find more people. On Thursday I had a division with one of the lz's and we freakin worked. We left the house from lunch at 1130 and didnt stop moving until like 10 that night. We taught all of our normal people, found 26 new people, and visited like 4 members in one day. All without taking a single water break. Its safe to say I was dead after that day. And to finish it off we slept 6 Elders in our two bedroom apartment with 3 matresses.
The rest of the week went like normal. I was able to go on another division with the new Elder in our District. Together we have a combined total of less than 7 months in the mission, which was crazy. That day was super awesome though because we found a lot more people and taught like 20 kids off the street in one lesson.
On Sunday I was able to watch my first baptism with a couple of our new investigators which was super awesome. I had taught the lady being baptized on a couple of divisions last transfer so it was awesome to see her be baptized. After that one of the kids I taught on a division last week asked if I would be the one to confirm him on his baptism day. Which is crazy to do in English let alone portuguese so we'll see how that goes next week.
One spiritual thought Ive had the last week is being able to know just the smallest amount what our Heavenly Father feels like towards us. As Ive been teaching people, trying to get them to church, and showing the gospel of Jesus Christ, I've been a little confused as to why people wouldn't want that. For example, I jokingly said to my comp after teaching the word of wisdom, "whats more important salvation or coffee." I think thats how the savior feels when we spend more time on things that arent important instead of focusing on things like scripture study, prayer, and serving others which brings us closer to christ.
Até próxima semana
