Dois Passos Pra Frente, Um Pra Trás

Time has flown by way to fast this transfer. I feel like I got in the area yesterday and now we're in the last week of the transfer. This transfer has had a ton of successes and also quite a few frustrating moments, but it has been awesome. This new area I'm in has been super cool and is full of awesome people. The only problem is somethings happening that I never thought would happen. WE'RE BRINGING TO MANY PEOPLE TO CHURCH. Usually the struggle is to get people to church the first time and then after they realize that our church is the True Church, but it's been weird this transfer. Over the last 4 weeks we've brought 40 different people to church, but they aren't able to come back again. This month is super busy with the holiday São João coming up, so hopefully when everything calms down these people will be able to come more times and then we'll get them dunk.

São João is super big here. It started today and its super crazy. The three big things are corn, bonfires, and fireworks. For the next three days everyone makes food out of corn, which should be awesome. Also everyone puts a huge bonfire in front of their house. We passed some bonfires today that took up the whole road so we had to find different ways to get around them. The air is pretty much filled with smoke everywhere you go. And Fireworks. The kids here are crazy. I've seen kids from 5 and up in the road with firecrackers big enough to blow off their hands, its wild. They just through them off in the middle of the city like its normal.

This week has been full of progress and also of plateaus. We have found a ton of people that are progressing and have also had a ton of baptisms fall through. We are teaching a kid named Italo that is super cool. He comes to church with his cousins and shows up to all the church activities. If everything goes according to plan, we should baptize him this week.

Beside that this week has been pretty chill. The mission is flying by and its crazy to realize thay I'm almost half way done. I'm super grateful to be out here and having a blast with all the people and missionaries in Brazil.
