Pday Na Praia

Back again for one more week. This week has been super cool and we were able to accomplish a lot.

We started out this week having hardly anyone in our teaching pool which was rough. We worked really hard to find some people and to help the few we have progress. It paid off. We ended up finding 20 people this week that all have really good potential to progress. We also had a lady that weve been teaching finally accept to be baptized.

The highlight of this week was the young mens activity. We were able to have an activity on Friday night which was a blessing because it has been super hard to set up activities. We invited 10 of the kids thay we have been teaching. After hyping it up all week 5 of them showed up. These kids are really elect. They came to the activity, paid attention during the message, and even sang both the hymns(which is something i didnt even do before the mission). I also one respect by beating a 19 year old in 1v1 soccer. After the activity we created a better bond with them and now we are all homies.

This week we also had a huge miracle as well. We have been teaching this older lady for about 7 weeks now. She has been consistently coming to church, but has had some problems with the word of wisdom and coffee. After an awesome lesson and a prayer she finally knew 100% that she needs to be baptized and give up coffee. We having been helping her quit and she hasnt dranken it in over a week. If all goes well we should have her baptism this Sunday.
Today was definitely the best pday I have had on the mish. We got to go to President house and have pday with him. We started off with an activity and were able to chill in his house which was awesome. Then we walked down to the beach to finish the rest of the day. We got to play football, soccer, crossnet, and spike ball. After playing sports and chilling on the beach all day, President bought us all pizza, acai, and coconuts. Then we finished off by taking a ton of cool pictures on the beach.

Last thing that happend today was probably the coolest. ARM WRESTLING. There is a huge thing about how good our mission President is a way good arm wrestler. He has been here for 2 years now and hasnt lost once. After gaining this knowledge about a month ago I stares training to beat him in a year before I go home. Well when we were at the beach, my comp brought it up and President then proceeds to walk up and challenged me on the spot. I thought I was gonna lose, but the wrist curls have been paying off. I beat him and became the first Elder to beat President in an arm wrestle. After he said he's gonna start training so stay tuned for round 2.

I wanted to focus the spiritual thought on gratitude. This mothers day I realized how much I love and respect my mom. After living alone for almost a year, I have realized that my life was a ton easier before. I always had cooked meals, clean laundry, support in litterally anything, and a ton more not to mention her example to me. She has kept me going to church, will help and is always nice to everyone, always helps me accomplish stuff, and works a ton. I know I wouldn't be where I'm at without my mom's example. I have seen kids that dont have good parents here and their lives are definitely a lot worse off than my has been. Our moms are truly there to help us grow and learn. We need to realize that and thank them. Im extremely grateful for my mom.

Até a proxima semana
