Madalena

Whats up everybody. This week was super cool and I had a lot of fun. I was transferred to Area Madalena which was super cool. Its is basically in the center of the city and has a ton of different people. Its really awesome because it has a ton of favelas to teach the poorer people, but also has a ton of skyscrapers and stores which is good to have stuff to do on pday. Also a plus is I have a McDonald's in my area for the days I dont have meber meals. I also got a new comp this week, Elder Ynga. He was my district leader 2 transfers ago so I already knew him pretty well coming here. He is from Peru and is super dope. This week we were able to work really hard and actually see a decent amount of success which was really rewarding. This week I was able to get to know the members of the ward and we were able to set some plans up to help baptize people and to make some activities. One of the best parts about the ward here is that basically the whole leadership is new. Which means everyo...

A Final Semana Aqui Em Moreno

I'm convinced the hardest part of the mission is getting transfered. Today we got transfer letters and I'm getting transferred to Madelena. The last 3 months I've had here in Moreno have been super rewarding and I wouldn't trade them for anything. I have made some friendships here that I'll have for the rest of my life and have learned to be a better missionary. There is a recent convert here João Vitor that is 13 years old and he was baptized a month before I got here. He is one of my best friends now. He's left to come teach with us almost every single day and is one of the best kids I know. It was super hard saying goodbye to him, but I'll definitely visit him before I come home off the mission. This week was honestly pretty slow. There was a ton of rain, but despite that we still were able to see miracles. It ended up raining Tuesday until Friday and the streets turned into rivers. It was definitely not ideal teaching conditions, but we were able to make...

Pday Na Praia

Back again for one more week. This week has been super cool and we were able to accomplish a lot. We started out this week having hardly anyone in our teaching pool which was rough. We worked really hard to find some people and to help the few we have progress. It paid off. We ended up finding 20 people this week that all have really good potential to progress. We also had a lady that weve been teaching finally accept to be baptized. The highlight of this week was the young mens activity. We were able to have an activity on Friday night which was a blessing because it has been super hard to set up activities. We invited 10 of the kids thay we have been teaching. After hyping it up all week 5 of them showed up. These kids are really elect. They came to the activity, paid attention during the message, and even sang both the hymns(which is something i didnt even do before the mission). I also one respect by beating a 19 year old in 1v1 soccer. After the activity we created a better bond w...

Mais Uma Semana

One more week in the mission went by. This week was defintely one of the slowest week here in the area so far, but still ended up being good. This week we found a family of 7 that lives next to our member that is 15 years old. They're his cousins so we were trying super hard to get them to church. We had a soccer activity this Friday and wanted to take all them. The last second their mom said they couldn't go which was kind of annoying. We ended up finding one of our members friends and took him instead. I talked a lot of trash on him walking to the soccer activity so then I had to back it up. I won 3 games in a row and then they wouldn't let me play anymore and I had to ref. Nows the part where I say that I won against a bunch of 15 years old, but they're Brazilian so I still feel pretty accomplished. I also had a division this week. I went with Elder Godfrey which was super cool. He's got about 6 months in the mission and is super cool. He was actually supposed to...
