Três Semanas Boas

Hey everyone. Its been about three weeks since I wrote an email, but things still have been going good.
Since the last email a lot has happened.
We had transfers three weeks ago. I stayed in Moreno and got a new comp Elder Numbers. I got my first american comp in the mission and we're pretty similar. He's from Utah and plays soccer. He's on his second to last transfer and Ive been learning a lot from him before he leaves the mission.
This week we were able to baptize Rafael. His mom and brother were baptized the week before I got here. We have been working with him for a little over 8 weeks now. Despite having a ton of challenges and doubts he finally made it to the baptism day. It was a super awesome experience. The day before and even leading up to the batism he was a pretty unexcited, but as soon as he came up out of the water it was like a switch flipped. He started to talk with all the members, asked about being in the ward group chat, and became a lot more involved in the ward.
After Rafeals baptism we were able to help him move. Rafael, Elder Numbers, and I were able to move everything in their house 1/2 mile away without any cars in a little under two hours. We were going super fast, but that really goes to show how little the people here actually have.
We've also had zone conference this last week. It was awesome to learn a ton more about how to be a better missionary and to make our sacrifices worth it. We talked a ton about our journey from the pre-mortal life to life on earth and the returning. The work we do here on earth determines the outcome of where we go after this life. The same is true on our missions. We left our families, friends, countries, and everything in between to come down to Brazil. We are here to accomplish the work of the lord and help others come unto christ. This is something that I have been focusing really hard on. Focusing why I am here. Because if I work hard and stay dilligent I will feel accomplished and will build habits to succeed, but if I coast the way through the mission I will regret and wont have the tools and experiences to continue on. This is on the small scale of the mission, but is a 100% true in our lives. Doing the work of god and living his principles always will help prepare to return to christ and have success in our lives.
Até próxima semana
