I Bought A Gun

Another week has past by and it was pretty slow. It was the last week of the transfer and I'm definitely gonna miss my companion a ton. My comp is going to be an lz in a different area and train someone new. I'm staying in Casa Amarela. We had two areas Casa Amarela A&B, but they got combined so now my area is huge. Its cool though because I've been on like 10 division with my new comp already.

Definitely the most exciting part of this week was the baptism of Cristyano. He is 11 years old and is super smart. I knock on his door about 4 weeks ago and we already baptized him which is crazy. He is a super good example to me, despite having literally zero support from his family. It was super sad to see that he only knew me and my comp at the baptism.

Another thing that happened was I bought an orbe gun. Everyone on the streets kept shooting us with them so I decided to get even. I talked to a kid and he told me where to by one. It was in someones old abandoned house, where they imported like 50 guns and then sold them for a lot more. The house definitely was selling drugs too, but hey I got my gun. So now I can defend myself against the hood of brazil.

Its crazy that its already December. I am super excited to teach the gospel of our savior during the month he was born. Despite it not feeling like christmas because its 1000000 degrees outside, its awesome to see the spirit and decorations every has out. This next transfer I set a goal to read the new testament. I encourage all of you to remember the true meaning of christmas and to show it your actions and words.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone. It still doesnt feel like its Christmas Eve today, but whether I'm ready for it or not Christmas is coming and going. This week for me has been super busy and I have learned a lot. I went on three different divisions this week and every time I went to a different area, so I only worked in my area for about a day and a half. My first division was on Tuesday with Elder Couch. He is american and just got here 2 weeks ago, so he's still working on the portuguese. His area is more country than mine so it was super awesome. This was an awesome opportunity to put my portuguese to the test because my comp for the day didnt know anything. Melhor Pday Da Missão

This week was super awesome and we ended with the best pday of the mission so far. This week we have been preparing a family to get baptized and helping them to stop drinking coffee. As we have continued to go to their house, they have been more willing to participate in the lesson. The first week we were there the kids didn't participate much and their parents made them come listen, but after a week or two they are always the first ones sat down ready to hear the lessons. Its been super cool to see there progress and I hope we can help them be baptized this week. I went on a division this week to the lzs area again. I was able to talk to some of the people that I taught there last time which was awesome. The goal of the division was to mark as many people as possible for baptism. So the entire day the only lesson we taught was baptism, which worked. We were able to put six people on a dates for baptisms and one of them even got baptized the next day. Mais Uma Semana Na Missão

Whats up everyone. This week was very repetitive, but I also promised my mom that I would write another email again. This week we worked super hard and went on a division with the lz's. We had a lot of cool experiences and put some people on dates for baptisms this sunday. We have set huge goals to end off this transfer. Its crazy a transfer has already come and gone.
