Eu Vou Embora Da Minha Area Daqui Em Pouco

Well finally had an interesting week this week so this email should be a little bit better.
This week we have transfers. After staying in the same area for six months I'm definitely ready for a change in scenery, but I'm definitely not ready to leave the missionarys, my recent converts, and all the members. Its crazy how well you can get to know the people you serve and serve with throughout six months. I have definitely made some life long friends in this area and will definitely be coming back to visit them.

Anyway about my new area. My new area is Moreno, which is about an hour outside the city and half of it is a forest. The complete opposite of what it is right now. I am super excited to go there and meet my new comp. The house there has 4 missionarys in it so its definitely gonna be a party.

I had a couple of things that happened this week that were cool.
1. I went to a different area on divisions and was working with a missionary that just got here. I wasnt very familiar with the area and he is still new so we were kinda lost for the day. Our goal was to find new people to teach and about half of the day passed by without any luck. Then I saw a group of about 10 people siting in front of a house. We walked over there, I talked to them, and then I stepped up on the high curb and taught my sermon haha. I felt like i was preaching like back in the old days. It was super cool.
2. A middle aged man came up to us and told us that he had got robbed on the bus. He used are phone to call someone, but they didn't answer. He said he didn't have any money to get home so we went to the ATM to pull out some cash. I gave him 10 reals and then he tried to get my contact to pay me back. I told him he didn't have to if he went to church and I got his contact info so we'll see how that goes.
3. We had the baptism of Gustavo. We baptized his older brother, Diogo 3 months ago and he then received the Priesthood. It was super cool because Diogo was able to baptize his brother and then I was able to confirm him.

One spirtual thing that Ive been thinking this week is our opportunity to serve. This week we were able to find 40 people to teach and it was awesome. We tried to be as diligent as possible in order to have the extra blessings in order to do that. It was super cool to see that if you have the willingness and diligence to serve that the lord will put people in your path.

Its gonna be super hard to leave the people that Ive been teaching, but it'll be good to see the progress they make when I'm gone.

Até próxima semana
