Second Week

Sorry for the late email today, but the pday today was awesome. I was able to eat american food for the second time in brazil which was awesome. And by american food i mean burger king haha. Today I also was able to have a nap, play soccer, and get to know some of the elders and sisters in my zone. And to wrap up the pday we had pepperoni pizza with chocolate crust

This week has been super eye opening and very tiring. It started off way rough with us losing a few investigators and not being able to contact others, but we kept pushing through. We were able to find some new investigators who seem very intrested in the church and are super nice. Also one family we have been teaching who were falling off, started to want to know more this week and two of them even came to church with us. 

I seen and eaten a lot of crazy stuff this week. Ive aten a lunch meat casserole, some steak that was probably composed of 97% fat, and some mango icecream that expired in 2018. But despite all this I am still alive haha, and very grateful for the members and investigators that feed us. The crazy thing Ive seen this week was magic from a less active member named William. He wrote my name on a paper, proceeded to light it on fire, and then rub the ashes on his forearm. I was wondering what the heck he was doing, but then I saw the ashes had printed my name on his arm. It was way crazy and my comp got a video of it. 
Missionary work is probably the most hard and most rewarding thing Ive done even only after two weeks. While right now i can only explain simple topics, it is so awesome to teach long gone people the redeeming power of the atonement of jesus christ, or to explain to a old person that with the plan of salvation we will see are loved ones again.

Usually by the end of the week, my comp and I fall asleep on the study sofa (aka the old matress from the 1990s that we use as a couch) during lunch or after dinner because we are so tired, it is worth to see people in church and eager to start theyre jury on the covenant path.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone. It still doesnt feel like its Christmas Eve today, but whether I'm ready for it or not Christmas is coming and going. This week for me has been super busy and I have learned a lot. I went on three different divisions this week and every time I went to a different area, so I only worked in my area for about a day and a half. My first division was on Tuesday with Elder Couch. He is american and just got here 2 weeks ago, so he's still working on the portuguese. His area is more country than mine so it was super awesome. This was an awesome opportunity to put my portuguese to the test because my comp for the day didnt know anything. Melhor Pday Da Missão

This week was super awesome and we ended with the best pday of the mission so far. This week we have been preparing a family to get baptized and helping them to stop drinking coffee. As we have continued to go to their house, they have been more willing to participate in the lesson. The first week we were there the kids didn't participate much and their parents made them come listen, but after a week or two they are always the first ones sat down ready to hear the lessons. Its been super cool to see there progress and I hope we can help them be baptized this week. I went on a division this week to the lzs area again. I was able to talk to some of the people that I taught there last time which was awesome. The goal of the division was to mark as many people as possible for baptism. So the entire day the only lesson we taught was baptism, which worked. We were able to put six people on a dates for baptisms and one of them even got baptized the next day. Mais Uma Semana Na Missão

Whats up everyone. This week was very repetitive, but I also promised my mom that I would write another email again. This week we worked super hard and went on a division with the lz's. We had a lot of cool experiences and put some people on dates for baptisms this sunday. We have set huge goals to end off this transfer. Its crazy a transfer has already come and gone.
